Genital herpes is a common sexually transmitted infection (STI) brought on by the herpes simplex virus (HSV). Type 1 is typically associated with oral herpes, but can also infect the genitals. Type 2 is primarily responsible for genital herpes infections. Most people infected with HSV will experience no symptoms or only mild ones. On the other hand
